Mobile steel welding cart with gas cylinder bay, drawer and push handle - DIY plan

Mobile Welding Cart Plans | Bottle Bay + Drawer | No CNC | PDF Cut List

$19.00

Build a stable rolling welding cart with a chop saw, a grinder and a MIG welder. Designed by a working Bethlehem, PA fabrication shop. The gas cylinder rides inside the wheelbase, which helps keep the cart from tipping backward when the machine is off. Always chain the cylinder in place. Every frame cut is a straight 90° cut, and sheet parts are simple rectangles your supplier can shear. No CNC plasma or laser needed.

What's included (instant PDF download, 4 pages)

  • Dimensioned elevations of the full cart
  • Materials buy list for 1-1/2" x 11 ga square tube on 20 ft sticks
  • Exact cut list with a math check of every dimension
  • Tack-and-weld sequence to keep the frame square
  • Drawer runner and hanger details, chain and lead-hook positions
  • Hardware, caster, tool and finishing lists

Specs

  • Frame footprint: 40" L x 20" W, 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" 11 ga tube
  • Top shelf: 26" x 20" steel, about 32-1/4" off the floor on 5" casters
  • Bottle bay: 12-1/2" x 17" clear, fits one 80-125 cu ft cylinder, chains at 22" and 40"
  • Slide-out drawer, about 20 W x 16 D x 3-1/2 H in
